Dr. Don Smith and his wife Sister Pat joined our church as Senior Pastor December 10, 2006. He has revolutionized the church and its purpose. Dr. Don combines his years in the business world with his years as a minister and teacher of the scripture to open our eyes to the cause of Christ. Before Garrett Baptist Church he founded Landmark Baptist Church Corsicana Texas, where his son Mark Smith now pastors. He and his wife have devoted there life to the teaching and preaching of God's word. Dr. Don is a mission minded pastor and teaches the church the importance of spreading the word around the world. As Pastor would say "God Bless Yall Real Good!"

Br. Bates is the Asst. Pastor and the music minister at Garrett Baptist Church. He and his wife Sister Cristina have a powerful testimony and a hunger for winning the lost to Christ. When Br . Bates was a deacon at the church he felt the calling of God to lead him into the ministry of the church and has been a valuable asset ever since. He has a love for old time gospel music and a hunger for God's Word. Br. Bates is a true fundementalist when it comes to the music at our church. Amen!!

Br. Chris is a prison guard and he and his wife Brandi have a hunger for our youth. This world has taken a lot of the youth of today and Br. Chris lives his life to try to take them back and teach them the truth about Christ. He and his wife evangelize and disciple the youth at Garrett Baptist Church. The youth are the church of tomorrow, so he emphasises the constent and close relationship they should have with Jesus Christ. Br. Chris and Sister Brandi love what they do and love there youth.

Brother Russell Wood and his wife Shanna head up our outreach ministries, teach our young couples class, and the website administrator for Garrett Baptist Church. Br.Russell has felt the calling of God since he was a teenager and gave his heart to the LORD as a young man. He and his wife have a burning desire to help win people to Christ and train them in the direction the Lord would have them in the local New Testament Baptist Church. He is currently under the mentorship of Senior Pastor Dr. Don Smith.
