Kenny Dawson Ministries
    Brother Kenny Dawson who has ministered to us through his singing and playing of his various instruments many times in the last 14 years will be here for Sunday School and Worship hour this Sunday Morning. You do not want to miss this incredible ministry and beautiful singing.





Missionary Bobby Bonner

This Sunday we welcomed  Dr. Bobby Bonner, Missionary to Zambia to speak at our special missions service. Dr. Bonner is part of a special ministry called IAM ministries. IAM  teaches the word of God to all the lost souls in Africa, as well as helping with hospitals, orphanages, and a Bible Institute. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and dinner on the grounds. Pray for Dr. Bonner as he is about to do a lot of traveling which includes Austrailia and then back to Africa to prepare for there annual conferance.




Movie Night (Fireproof)
  Don't miss out on our upcoming movie night . This month we will be showing Fireproof a wonderful movie about the joys of marriage and being with that someone special that God has given us. April 18, 2009 at 5:00pm at the church. We will be having fingerfoods. Hope to see you there!!!!!!




Easter Sunday
Praise the Lord it is time for our Easter Celebration Service. Come and be apart of the exciting service celebrating the resurrection of our Lord JESUS CHRIST. We will have dinner on the grounds, special music an a Easter performance by our kids here at Garrett Baptist Church. We are shooting for our record attendance. If we beat it our Pastor will..........well I guess you'll have to come and see.



Mothers Day
Join us May 10 for a special service for our beloved Mothers. There is one truth in life that is certain " Jesus and Mom will always love us". So join us in thanking the mothers for there enormous hearts and work over the past year, and what better place to do it than in the house of  God, the one that blessed us with them. We will be giving out prizes to our oldest mothers , mothers with the most children, and many more.  See you there!!




Vacation Bible School
Praise God this years Vacation Bible School was better than ever. The kids got the opportunity to travel where Jesus did. It started at the birth and ended with the resurrection. We had over 40 kids saved and parents that asked for prayer. Praise the Lord!!!!! HE is good all the time. 




Family Movie Night

Join us for our Family Movie night this month we will be showing the second in the Chronicles of Narnia series "Prince Caspian". Join us for a wonderful time of fellowship and food. There will be FREE popcorn and snacks or" fingerfoods". Hope to see ya there!!! 



Ordination Service Br. Keith Bates
  On Sunday the 17, The church had the pleasure of ordaining Br. Keith Bates. Br. Bates serves as the Asst. Pastor and is a passionate worker for Jesus Christ. Please join us in praying for him and his family as he sets out to do what God has called him to do. Ordained Pastors that attended Dr. Don Smith our Senior Pastor, Br. Cefus Benner, and Br. Eddie Ricks from Anthony Drive Baptist Church.



Polka Fest OutReach

Praise God we had a blast at the Ennis  Polka Festival this year. Our outreach group was able to lead 66 people to Jesus Christ as well as invite several kids to our Vacation Bible School. The harvest truly is ready. We found that the people are hungry for the Gospel and are almost drawn to it. Please pray that these new Christians will continue on a path drawing closer to Christ. Licencing Service for Br. Russell Wood
Thanks to all that came to support Br. Russell as he begins his work for the Lord. Br. Russsell and his family are on fire for our lost and helping Garrett Baptist Church with its Evangelistic and Outreach efforts.




Garrett Baptist Church Homecoming
We would like to invite everyone to our 15 anniversery service and homecoming. We will have a great time of fellowship and worship. We will have brother Kenny Dawson and family with us as well as our pastor's pastor Dr. Clyde Box. We will also have dinner on the grounds. Hope to see you there. Revival with Evangelist Bill Abbott

 We had a great time at revival the week of September 6-11. God once again changed lives and the hearts of His people. We would like to thank Brother Abbott and his family for there hard work this week. We had a total of 4 saved PTL!!! As well rededications and lives changed . Remember revival starts with each of us, then our families, then our community.
